While in Nepal (Part 4 - Day 7 and 8)

It is a little late now... but better late than never.

I said goodbye to Nepal earlier today.

But first, a recap.

Day 7
Neha's mom was worried about my lonesome adventure -- I was planning to go explore parts of Kathmandu by myself -- not much, just Thamel and the Royal Palace museum... so instead I slept in. Kekeke, oh how I love my sleep.

We then packed and I realized that I wouldn't have another chance to buy last minute souvenirs. So yeah, off I went on my short and fun adventure. I had plans to go buy 2 shirts and 4 hats in Thamel... I returned with 1 shirt and 12 hats. OHHHHHH, the shopper's remorse that I have.

Oh wells, much to late for such regrets. I finished packing and later that evening, Neha's mom picked us up some pizza from a place that their family frequently orders from.

Pizza by lantern light on the floor :) Pizza was delicious and the talks were fun. Neha's dad opened up some wine -- what a classy family! Last chance to eat some momos -- oooooh, they were so delicious and filling, I'll miss them :(

Also, Neha's mom made a traditional Nepali fried donut... the name slips my mind, but it was also, like most everything I've eaten here in Nepal, delicious!

Finished a Bollywood film... Mausam... Can't say I cared too much for the plot because of the inconsistencies and questions... but... the actor was oh so gorgeous, haha.

Day 8
Woke up, last minute packing, last lunch. Sad times man, sad times.

Neha's family was oh-so-nice and everyone was so caring and generous and yeah, I had a great experience in Nepal. Needless to be said, this experience only makes me more thirsty for adventure and travel.

Arrived in Incheon after what felt like an eternity of a flight -- no really -- if there was one thing that would prevent me from traveling the world, it would be motion sickness -- not money, not jetlag, not the time, not anything, but the motion sickness I always experience. Curses.

Anyways, Neha and I parted inside the gate, but unfortunately I really didn't get to say a real goodbye.

:( Sad times.

All the readers of this blog and almost everyone who I have befriended in South Korea, knows how integral Neha has become to my life. I can't thank you enough for always having my back and being my constant companion. And always trying to guide me to become a better person -- more responsible, more assertive, more clear-minded...

But don't worry, this will not be the last mention of Neha that I will have on this blog. I anticipate many adventures and trips involving Neha in the future. And when I reminisce about my experiences here in South Korea, Neha will always be at the forefront of my thoughts.

In Neha's words: "See yah on the flip side."

Minor Update While Studying

As I'm currently in the middle of midterms (two midterm papers due in approx. 1.5 days), I don't really have an opportunity to sit and type, but just a minor update. Among my long list of things-to-do (which is still currently sitting in the draft section of my blog and is continually updated but yet to be posted), I've added the goal to be able to successfully sing(/rap...) one of Tablo's songs by the end of the semester. Epik High (the group of which Tablo is a rapper and leader of) was one of the first Korean artists that I was exposed to as a young 6th grader. It was love at first sound... I remember back in the days... Tablo is one of those completely talented, genius type folks that make me go "WOW". Anyways, I digress. He recently released his CD (pt 1, which I am buying asap along with part 2 probably) after a 2-year hiatus and it's just gorgeous. The meanings of the lyrics, the beat, the sounds... everything flows so beautifully. Especiall...

Shoutout to Janice

Oh Janice, young child with almond eyes, why do you look like a nut, when you smile? Your round head and pale skin, I think you look like a fresh peanut. Your "mama hang" whine is fresh and refreshing But your smell is not. Why oh why, does Janice smile with almond eyes?

Obtainable Goals: Conquering the RSF & Food Finds & Forever21 order

I've decided to switch back or rather add some more easily obtainable goals. One of which is to try every single Group-X exercise class offered by the RSF (the campus gym) at least once by the end of the semester or at the very least, this summer -- although I must say, the caveat might be the aqua classes given I don't have swimwear here and classes in Hearst Gym.... In the past, I have tried: Bollywood -- quite fun but the steps can get complicated Cardio Kickboxing -- whew, what a work out, I couldn't even make it through the whole session Some yoga class but I can't remember which one -- it was so slow, I almost fell asleep This semester, I have tried: Nia -- quite fun, the instructor was super nice and it was a lot about grounding yourself and finding yourself Toning Express -- quite intense and quick too, only 30 minutes! This week alone, I have tried: Power Yoga -- Not bad, not too rigorous either -- there was a focus on aligning your breath with you...
