Another graduation stress

Not to mention the stress of WHAT TO WEAR?!
Sure, we all look like shapeless, giant globs, but you gotta have nice shoes and you know, a cute outfit for after.

And so, in the midst of dead week and finals, we had a shopping outing wherein the single goal was a pair of heels for me. CHECK! and then I bought some other stuff I quite liked too!

And while I am at it... some other quick updates. Haha.

A mini girl's night out... An eventful mini bar-hopping adventure that started at Wing Fiesta's Beat the Clock (BTC) followed by Beta Lounge and ended at Wing Stop. What can I say, I love my chicken wings!

My lovely graduation heels! They are taking a chunk out of my eating budget but nude heels are quite a necessary investment... I think. Crossed fingers I don't trip across the stage...

I could go on a tangent about beauty standards in Korea... but I won't. My goal is to review the beauty products that I have bought and tried here in Korea. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

I wanted to add some funny or inspirational quote or image. I have nothing. Instead... the below is slightly amusing. In any case, as Thanksgiving was approaching, I realized that this is the first time I have celebrated Thanksgiving away from my family. It was a sobering and sad thought. I'm extremely grateful and thankful to have been blessed with my family and extended family, my friends, my mentors, my experiences, my life. And it needs to be said: I'm thankful to have all of you in my life. And I'm thankful for all your constant support and love. Anyways, what I wanted to say was that I hope everyone, especially all my loved ones (that means you!) will have an amazing, wonderful, joyful Thanksgiving. Hope you can share it with all your loved ones. P.S. If you are going Black Friday shopping, be safe! I looked at the ads, slim pickings this year, but the experience is always fun :) Happy Bargains!

Slow Down, I'm Moving Too Fast, You Know You Can't Catch Me

I went home to San Jose this previous weekend with Xuemin and though we didn't do much, except a small barbeque at the house, it was definitely nice just getting away from Berkeley. We tried a new pho restaurant, Pho Que Huoung, oh so disappointing. We also tried Hiro Sushi, also another disappointment (read Xuemin's yelp review for more details). But again, it takes tasting something not so stellar, to know what you consider delicious. We finished moving on to the new summer sublet on Wednesday and though it was a hassle, we have now settled in. At the time, I wasn't really thinking about the distance from campus but as I walked by at 9PM after my class ended, I definitely was conscious of everything -- the darkness, the shadiness, the distance...
